The Lamp of the Body

There are many references to light in the Bible as a metaphor for God’s presence, Spirit, and instructions. In Luke 11:33-36, Jesus gives us a picture of how God’s light provides a healthy vision for our lives. In this talk, Lou explores Jesus’ call to not just see the light, but to live fully in the light of his presence and teaching.

In this series of Gift Day talks, we explore a vision of generosity that is tied to our long term dream – to partner with God for the renewal of London. We believe the Church is God’s plan to bring salvation and hope to our world, recognising that we are totally dependent on him to see transformation in every area of life and society. For this, we need a hunger for God in four areas: Heart, Home, Church, and City. We explore how these are the ‘altars’ on which God’s revival fire burns, as we seek his Presence for the renewal of our city.
