‘A bruised reed he will not break, and a smouldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice.‘ (Isaiah 42:3)
As a church, our hope is that people grow spiritually and emotionally. We are each responsible for our spiritual, emotional and physical health, but we believe it’s important to provide appropriate support and encouragement for individuals to do this.
Much of the care in church life happens in communities such as Connect Groups. However, we recognise that we each have seasons where we may require additional support. Consequently we have gathered a team to help church members work through areas of difficulty.
The Pastoral Support Team is led by Sharon Mukungu, a qualified psychotherapist. Sharon is currently on extended leave and any Pastoral enquiries or requests should go to Lars Due-Christensen. The team offers care, support and prayer, but we can also suggest a number of external counselling organisations.
If you would like to receive support, please complete our Pastoral Support Assessment Form.
We also run a number of courses and groups, which may be of interest to you:
We also have affiliated pastoral care membership with Pastoral Care UK (PCUK), which is part of the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC)
