Theology Matters: Introduction to Hebrews Series

Session 1: Jesus is Better

The author of Hebrews begins by establishing Jesus’ credentials. In the first four chapters he seeks to show how Jesus is God’s ultimate communication – better than the prophets, the angels, Moses and Joshua – before addressing the theme of ‘rest’ and considering how we might come to enjoy it.

Matthew 26:6-13
In this series of Gift Day talks, we explore a vision of generosity that is tied to our long term dream – to partner with God for the renewal of London. We believe the Church is God’s plan to bring salvation and hope to our world, recognising that we are totally dependent on him to see transformation in every area of life and society. For this, we need a hunger for God in four areas: Heart, Home, Church, and City. We explore how these are the ‘altars’ on which God’s revival fire burns, as we seek his Presence for the renewal of our city.

Revelation offers a practical message to stay faithful to Jesus, despite the pressures to compromise.
