The Sabbath was always intended to allow people to rest in God’s freedom and favour, but instead the Pharisees turned it into a way of burdening and prohibiting people from truly experiencing God’s fullness of life. In this talk, Benedict considers how we can enter into God's Sabbath rest as a way of delighting ourselves in Him.

Waiting for God

Genesis 18:1-15: One of the hardest parts of being a disciple is learning to wait for God; when we are waiting for him to fulfil a longing of our hearts, an answered prayer or something we believe he has promised us. David draws from the life of Abraham to consider how we can do this and keep our hearts healthy and positive, even when the waiting period lasts many years.
