Vision 2025

Our vision is to follow Jesus together, for the renewal of London: that every part of life and society would be impacted by the life of God’s Kingdom. The staggering promise of the Bible is that God wants to use us to make this happen.

Formation

Adnan Khan 21st October 2025

This week, Adnan (Mile End Service) looks at our value of ‘Formation’ as a church. Teaching from both Ephesians 4 and John 21, we look at how our journey of change happens in the context of church community, with the goal of maturing into people of Christlike love, for the sake of others.

Presence

Joel Wade 14th October 2025

This week, Joel (Central Service) kicks off our teaching series on our values and vision. We look at the value of ‘Presence’ being the foundational value for any true revival. Seeking God’s presence requries us shifting the mindset of prayer from obligation to orientation, cultivating a deep hunger and thirst for Jesus as our life’s ultimate goal. It also demands a shift from relying on feelings to friendship, building a sustained, commitment-based relationship with God, independent of emotional highs. Finally, we must move from a faith of consuming to contending, actively contending in prayer for the Church’s purity and the powerful advance of the Gospel.

Formation

Andy Tilsley 12th October 2025

This week at our Stockwell service, Andy looks at our value of ‘Formation’ with a teaching from Luke 13. We see how formation is slow and happens in the ‘manure’ — the messy, imperfect context of church community. Embracing this uncomfortable reality is a journey to the cross, the secret to finding resurrection power and achieving lasting transformation through the local church.

Mission

Lou Richards

This week at our Mile End service, Lou taught on our value of ‘Mission’ based on 2 Timothy 1:3-14. We look at our call to embrace our mission as disciples by sharing the Gospel with confidence over fear. We see how Paul urges Timothy to ‘fan into flame the gift of God’, allowing the Spirit to provide power, love, and self-discipline. Sharing faith requires courage and obedience, taking the long view, and being fully dependent on God, not personal eloquence.

Catherine Ishola 26th October 2025

We’re taking a few weeks as a church to focus on our three core values: Presence, Formation, and Mission. This week, Catherine Ishola (Sutton Service) teaches on Presence as our foundational value. We look at Ephesians 6 and our call to a life of unceasing prayer, to contending for a move of God’s Spirit in our time. This requires moving from prayer as obligation to orientation toward Jesus, from relying on feelings to deepening friendship, and from merely consuming faith to actively contending in intercession for the church and the gospel’s advance.
