After a year of not being able to meet together in person, it will be even more valuable to come together as one family to rest, relax, and hear from God.
We’ll be spending two days in Sussex for some fresh air and quality time together, and we’d love for you to join us! This retreat is open to anyone who calls CCL their home. We have so missed meeting in person over the past year, and we hope that this will be an opportunity to reconnect with one another, and to be refreshed by God through teaching, worship and ministry times.
Book by Monday 19th April and save money on your ticket! Click below to see all the different ticket prices, and to book your place.
If you need more time to think about it, but you’re hoping to come, you can register your interest instead, and this will help us to plan. Click below to send an email to Nate registering your interest.
We understand that for many of us, we may not feel ready to gather with a large group of people this summer. Even though social distancing restrictions are set to be lifted by August, it’s important that you do what you feel comfortable with. If however, you are interested in coming, it would really help us to plan ahead if you could register your interest using the button above.
In the event that we need to cancel the retreat, we will offer a full refund to everyone who has booked. At the retreat, we will be doing things slightly differently than previous years, to help everyone feel safe. For instance, our worship and teaching sessions will be held in a marquee outside, which gives us lots of space to spread out, (and to make the most of the beautiful grounds!) and we’ll also have separate rooms for children’s ministry.
When is it?
The retreat will start on the afternoon of Friday 27th August, and you can arrive any time after 4pm onwards. We’ll finish after lunch on Sunday, and it’s a Bank Holiday on the Monday, which means we can enjoy the Sussex countryside for a little bit longer on Sunday afternoon before heading back to London!
Where will I be staying?
Ashburnham Place is a beautiful venue in Battle, Sussex, TN33 9NF. There are several accommodation options including en suite or shared bathrooms, individual or family rooms. Please visit our booking page to see all the different options, and please let us know who you’d like to share a room with.
All our main meetings will take place in a marquee in the venue grounds, so that we have lots of space to spread out.
What if it gets cancelled?
In the event that we can’t go ahead with the retreat, we will offer a full refund to everyone who has booked.
What is there to do?
As well as our teaching and worship sessions, there will plenty of time to relax and have fun. Ashburnham has beautiful grounds to explore including a lake you can swim in (so bring your swimwear if you’d like to!) There will be also be loads of activities for all ages to enjoy including outdoor games and a bonfire!
What about kids?
We will have a full programme of children’s activities put on by our amazing Kids team. These will take place at the same time as our teaching sessions, so that parents can get the most out of the retreat. There will also be lots of time to have fun as a family too!
If you’d like to volunteer as part of our Kids team, please get in touch with Lauren at firstname.lastname@example.org. There will be a discounted ticket rate for anyone who is able to help out. (If you are not already part of our Kids team, you will need to complete a DBS check first).
What will I eat?
The booking cost includes all of your meals which will be provided by Ashburnham. You can let us know of any dietary requirements in your booking.
Are there subsidised tickets?
We don’t want the ticket cost to be a barrier for anyone who would like to come to the retreat. If you would appreciate a subsidised ticket, or you would like to gift a ticket to someone else, we would love to help. Please get in touch with us using the button below.
