Church Summer Retreat 2022

26th-28th August 2022
Come and join us this August for two days to rest, recharge, worship God, hear great teaching and be together as a church family.

We can't wait to come together as one family to rest, relax, and hear from God.

We’ll be spending two days in Sussex for some fresh air and quality time together, and we’d love for you to join us! This retreat is open to anyone who calls CCL their home. This is an amazing opportunity to connect with one another, and to be refreshed by God through teaching, worship and ministry times.

Off-site Accommodation and Single Day ticket options

We have now sold out of on-site accommodation, but we still have a few different ticket options. If you’d like to stay off-site (by booking your own hotel/AirBnB, etc), you can purchase a retreat pass to join us for all sessions, lunches and dinners. We are also offering day tickets for anyone who can only join us for one day of the retreat.

FAQs

When is it?

The retreat will start on the afternoon of Friday 26th August, and you can arrive any time after 4pm onwards. We’ll finish after lunch on Sunday, and it’s a Bank Holiday on the Monday, which means we can enjoy the Sussex countryside for a little bit longer on Sunday afternoon before heading back to London!

Where will I be staying?

Ashburnham Place is a beautiful venue in Battle, Sussex, TN33 9NF. There are several accommodation options including en suite or shared bathrooms, individual or family rooms. Please visit our booking page to see all the different options, and please let us know who you’d like to share a room with.

What is the cancellation policy?

If for any reason you need to cancel your ticket, we will offer a 100% refund (less fees) if you cancel by 31st May, or a 50% refund if you cancel by 30th June. We will only offer a refund after 30th June if we can re-sell your tickets to someone else.

In the event that we can’t go ahead with the retreat, we will offer a full refund to everyone who has booked.

What is there to do?

As well as our teaching and worship sessions, there will plenty of time to relax and have fun. Ashburnham has beautiful grounds to explore including a lake you can swim in (so bring your swimwear if you’d like to!) There will be also be loads of activities for all ages to enjoy including outdoor games and a bonfire!

What about kids?

We will have a full programme of children’s activities put on by our amazing Kids team. These will take place at the same time as our teaching sessions, so that parents can get the most out of the retreat. There will also be lots of time to have fun as a family too!

If you’d like to volunteer as part of our Kids team, please get in touch with Izzie at [email protected]. There will be a discounted ticket rate for anyone who is able to help out. (If you are not already part of our Kids team, you will need to complete a DBS check first).

What will I eat?

The booking cost includes all of your meals which will be provided by Ashburnham. You can let us know of any dietary requirements in your booking.

Are there subsidised tickets?

We don’t want the ticket cost to be a barrier for anyone who would like to come to the retreat. If you would appreciate a subsidised ticket, or you would like to gift a ticket to someone else, we would love to help. Please get in touch with us using the button below.
