Paul wrote that we should ‘pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests’ (Ephesians 6:18). Sometimes it’s hard to know how to do that, and we can all benefit from help and set prayers that give voice to what we are going through. We are creating a library of ‘liturgies’ to help us think and pray through different situations and seasons. Each one will lead you through a process of reading passages of Scripture, thinking about how they apply to you, speaking out a prayer, and sharing with others what God is saying to you.
Across the world, many Christians are sensing that this is an important season, in which God is awakening His church. At the start of this New Year, we want to respond to His call to awaken, by devoting ourselves to prayer, seeking His presence, and following Him wholeheartedly.
Prayer was so important to Jesus. It gave him wisdom, insight and deep relationship with God. If Jesus needed to pray, we certainly do! This series looks at Jesus’ prayer life – both what he prayed and how he prayed – so that we can learn to pray like Jesus.
