A prayer for the Queen

Heavenly Father,
as we remember Her Majesty the Queen,
We give thanks for her life,
And for her steadfast faith in You.
Thank you for the example she gave us, of trusting in You,
And serving you faithfully, all the days of her life.
Thank you for all that You blessed her with,
and for all that she has given to her people.
We pray for her family and those close to her who are mourning her loss,
Would you draw close to them
And provide them with Your peace and comfort.
We pray for our new King, as he seeks to lead our nation in her place.
Would you give him wisdom and courage,
And help him to reign with integrity, and to stand up for what is right.
Above all, we ask that You would be exalted among the nations.
We pray that Your Kingdom would come and Your will would be done
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever.

Amen.
