Each Sunday we take time out to gather together from our different parts of London, to worship, receive teaching and celebrate all that God has done. Everybody is welcome, and here is a little of what to expect from a Sunday at ChristChurch London.

The Meetings

We hold two meetings each Sunday, at 11.00 and 16.00, at the Mermaid Theatre, Blackfriars. Each meeting lasts 90 minutes and consists of around 35 minutes of sung worship, followed by announcements about what’s coming up in the life of the church, and a talk from the Bible, which we hope will be relevant and accessible to all.

Refreshments are served before and after each meeting, including fairtrade tea and coffee, juice and water and we would love for you to stay around. There is an information point in the upstairs bar, and our Welcome Team will be delighted to get to know you and answer any questions you may have about the church.

We love families at ChristChurch London, and if you have children with you we want them to enjoy church too. Each Sunday we have activities available for children during the 11.00 meeting. Please speak to a member of the Welcome Team and have a look at our families page for more information on what’s going on for each age group.

The Mermaid Theatre is a short walk away from Blackfriars, Temple, St Pauls and Mansion House underground stations. If you are arriving at Blackfriars, turn right as you exit the station and follow the road around until you see The Mermaid Theatre.

From time to time travel in London is affected by engineering works or events taking place in the city. Check updates and plan your journey with the Transport for London journey planner.

There is also plenty of free onstreet parking in nearby roads, and the Baynard House carpark on Great Victoria Street offers all day parking for £2.50.

Welcome Lunches

If you’re new to ChristChurch, we’d love to treat you to lunch! We regularly host Welcome Lunches in between our two Sunday meetings and these are a great way for you to get to know people, meet some of the leaders, and find out more about ChristChurch London.

Details of when these lunches are taking place can be found in the calendar. For more information contact Jen Ellis,, or alternatively call the ChristChurch London Office on 0207 384 6486.

Join us for a Drink

For those attending the afternoon meeting, why not join us from 18.30 for a drink at All Bar One, 44 Ludgate Hill. Whether you've been at church for five minutes or five years, this is a great opportunity to get to know others. We'd love to see you there.

Guest Speaker: Archbishop Justin Welby

Sun Oct 26, 11.00 - 12.30 & 16.00 - 17.30

We are thrilled to have the Archbishop of Canterbury as a special guest speaker. As well as being Archbishop, Justin Welby has spent 11 years working in the oil industry; he’s a member of the Parliamentary Commission on Banking Standards; and has been involved in reconciliation work in Africa and the Middle East.

Please note: Archbishop Justin is only able to be with us at the morning service. We shall be playing the video at the 4pm service.

From Dreamer to Leader (Genesis 41:39-57) - Andy Tilsley

Sun Nov 02, 11.00 - 12.30 & 16.00 - 17.30

Having been thrown in a pit, sold into slavery, falsely accused and imprisoned for years, Joseph now finds himself in a position of influence, as second in charge over Egypt. But in contrast to chapter 37, this time Joseph handles his influence well. This talk looks at how God matures and prepares us.

Live Performance Night in Whitechapel

Fri Oct 24, 19.30 - 22.00

Join us for an evening of creativity and live performance. The evening will be open to all, and there will be opportunities for anyone to do a performance piece. It could be song, a bit of writing (yours or a famous piece that you love) a dance, mime or whatever. As long as it's something you love, don't worry about what it is. It'll be a really friendly environment to do something a little scary. Why not try it?

If you don't feel you have anything you want to share, just come along for a great time anyway.
