While 'church' is far broader than simply what happens each Sunday, we think it's important  to take time out each week to gather together, from our different lives across London, and focus on God, what he's done in our lives and what life is really all about.

Before the service: Welcome Lunches

If it’s your first time, or you’ve only just started coming and want to get connected and meet more people, we host a welcome lunch for new people once a month before church at 2pm. Almost every other Sunday we offer anyone new a free drink before church in a nearby Costa Coffee. We hope this goes a small way to helping you feel at home with us!

You can find information of when these events are taking place in the ChristChurch London calendar. For more information, contact Emma Curties or alternatively call the ChristChurch London Office on 08456 448 440.

The service

The service starts at 16:00, at the Mermaid Theatre, Blackfriars. It involves a time of worshipping God, a few announcements about what’s coming up in the life of the church and then a talk from the Bible which we hope will be relevant, accessible and challenging. To listen to and download recordings of our preaches check out the Broadcast page.

We make sure that we’re done by 6pm every week but we’d love you to stay around for a bit longer for refreshments afterwards. ChristChurch London aims to be a church where people are always welcome, and if you are around after the service, our Welcome Team will be delighted to get to know you and answer any questions you may have about the church.

Families

Families are a hugely important part of ChristChurch London. If you have children or young people with you, please speak to a member of the Welcome Team who can introduce you to the appropriate kids’ work leaders for your age group.

Every Sunday we have activities for ages 0-11, divided into a creche, ages 3-6s and 7-11s. These groups meet in different parts of the theatre every Sunday and include various fun and creative activities learning about the Bible. We also have a youth group for 11-14s and 15-18 year-olds. Have a look at our Families page for more information on individual groups.

After the service

Many of us at ChristChurch take the opportunity of staying around after the service in the theatre for refreshments. Fairtrade tea and coffee, juice and water are provided free of charge in each of the theatre’s bars. A number of us also go onto a nearby pub to relax and spend more time together. We would encourage anyone visiting ChristChurch London, or anyone who is new and trying to make connections, to come with us; just ask a member of our Welcome Team for directions.
