ChristChurch London is based in the heart of London and is made up of people who love Jesus, love London and are committed to serving each other, the city, and the people within it.

Our desire is to be a people who are passionate about the Bible and the work of the Holy Spirit and who are always committed to reaching out to others.

ChristChurch London is also part of Newfrontiers, which is an international family of churches with a common vision to see the church restored, make disciples, train leaders, plant churches and reach nations for Christ.

Whoever you are, we’d love to meet you and you are welcome at any of our events. For more info check the calendar.

Our story

The vision for ChristChurch London started in the mid 1980s when God spoke to David Stroud: he was to return to London one day and be involved in planting churches. In the summer of 2003, that became a reality as David and his wife Philippa and family moved to London to plant ChristChurch London.

The first meeting was in April 2004 and by the Autumn, the team had grown to 90 and was ready to begin regular Sunday meetings.

As the church outgrew one venue, it moved to another - meeting in places as varied as a Conference Centre, a wine museum, and a west-end theatre. In July 2010, having grown to over 500 people, we moved to our current venue, The Mermaid Theatre, on the north bank of the Thames and next to Blackfriars Station, where we now hold two meetings at 11.00 and 16.00 and we continue to enjoy the numbers of new people wanting to make ChristChurch London their home.

Our Alpha course has also seen over 2000 people come through its doors over the past five years and we are excited to see what God is going to do next.

Faith Conversations: Death by Love - Liam Thatcher

Sun Jun 23, 11.00 - 12.30 & 16.00 - 17.30

Christians talk about the death of Jesus as ‘good news.’ But how is the violent death of one man 2,000 years ago good news for us here and now? In the penultimate talk of our Faith Conversations series, Liam will look at the content of the gospel, and how it offers hope for our lives and answers to our deepest needs.
